I spoke with Erik, one of the owners, when I was addressing the horrible service I received. When I mentioned the Yelp reviews I had read, he immediately said "Oh, the complainer forum" as if that should somehow discredit the reviews. Several of the reviews I read on there were pretty much my experience exactly. The only reviews you can't trust are the good ones. Like this one:
This same John guy from Herriman(same city as the registered principals and also a name that Erik told me was an actual employee) posted this review for Mean Steam Carpet Clean
Interestingly enough, the same guy posted a review for Supreme Cleaning & Restoration:
Do you think he really hired both company's and was so pleased that he just had to go post a review on Yelp? Check out some of the other reviews and decide for yourself. This customer had a similar experience to mine, only they chose not to go for their overpriced rip off!
Now here is an interesting one. She mentions Erik bringing her a check after a having a bad experience. She left a 5 star review??? Sounds like she was paid to rewrite her review:
This review was posted for Mean Steam Carpet Clean. Erik claims the two company's are in no way the same company, yet he is the one promising a check and delivering it to this customer after her complaint. Hmmm.

Mean Steam Carpet Clean - A Fraudulent Utah Company
If you're reading this after you hired Mean Steam Carpet Cleaning, you have my sympathies. This company also goes by Supreme Cleaning and Restoration. I would guess they registered the new name to try to stay in business after all of the complaints they've had. Apparently it's easy to set up a carpet cleaning company and get lots of one time customers. According to their job listing, business is booming.
These guys have perfected their scam. They send out $39 duct cleaning mailers. Once they arrive, if they even do arrive(read some of their reviews) they quickly dive into their con about your house having mold. They show you all these cunning brochures about how dangerous mold is. They tell you stories about other jobs they've done where the house had major mold problems and they had to do a complete restoration. Don't believe any of it. These guys a only looking to oversell and under deliver.
The salesman I dealt with was only looking to sell me as much as he could and then move on to the next sucker. He sold me a complete restoration for $1500. He and his peon were only there for an hour and then left. I was sure they would be there for hours and I had a meeting to go to. When I got back, they had my unsuspecting wife sign off on their work and they took off. You can read all of the detail about my experience here: http://supremecleaningandrestoration.blogspot.com/
If you haven't hired these guys yet, do yourself a huge favor and STAY AWAY. Here's the registered principals of Supreme Cleaning and Restoration. Al claims to own Mean Steam Clean and Erik claims to own Supreme, but they are both registered principals.
